Hotel room and bed pricing: a comparison checklist
Compare sharing beds and private occupancy options without confusing room quantity, bed quantity or nights.
Start with the unit being sold
A price per sharing bed is different from a private-room rate. Double, triple, quad and larger occupancy descriptions indicate capacity, but do not automatically tell you whether the provider is charging for the room or each bed. Ask for the exact rate basis.
Confirm the stay
Record the hotel, city, check-in and check-out dates. Verify the number of nights and whether early arrival, late departure or seasonal restrictions change the price. Two stays in different cities should be compared as separate services.
Check occupancy and inclusions
Confirm room quantity, beds or travelers, room type, meals and any included transfers. A capacity of four does not mean four rooms. Sharing arrangements may have provider-specific occupancy or allocation conditions that need written confirmation.
Make the arithmetic visible
Compare the agreed unit rate, applicable quantity and nights before discounts or taxes. Some offers use a total-stay amount instead. Do not multiply a total-stay price by nights again. Compare the same currency or use an agreed exchange rate.
Before you send money
Ask for a written quotation with cancellation, availability and final amount. A YASTRAV marketplace enquiry starts the conversation with the provider; it does not reserve a room or guarantee availability.
